Thank you to everyone who came out on May 6 to celebrate the Canadian Red Cross' 100 year anniversary of community service. The evening was a sold-out success with a high energy buzz pulsing through the room!
Together, we raised more than $15,000 to support local Red Cross programs ranging from multilingual First Aid training to violence prevention abuse in schools to disaster preparedness workshops and more.
We look forward to inviting you to participate in the 3rd annual Red Cross Red Carpet Soiree next Spring. Until then, check out this year’s event highlights in our PHOTO GALLERY. And be sure to visit www.redcross.ca/lowermainland for more information on our local programs and services.
Thank you again for your generosity and see you next year!

The Canadian Red Cross is celebrating our 100 year anniversary! Over the last century, we have been serving Canadians from managing the first hospitals in the Second World War to providing first aid and water safety training to disaster response domestically and internationally. The Canadian Red Cross has helped here at home and across the world to some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Join us to celebrate as a community what we have accomplished together for humanity over the last century!
Following a highly-successful sold-out event last year, the Canadian Red Cross will once again be partnering with Blue Water Cafe for the second annual Red Cross Red Carpet Soiree benefiting local programs in the region. Located in the heart of Yaletown, Blue Water Cafe will provide a full selection of their highly acclaimed cuisine—seafood towers, sushi and passed canapés—from two of Vancouver’s leading chefs: Vancouver Gold Medal Plates champion, Executive Chef Frank Pabst and internationally-recognized Raw Bar Chef Yoshihiro Tabo.
This soiree is a night that you won't want to miss. Some key highlights include:
- Enjoy award winning canapes from Blue Water Cafe + Raw Bar and fine wine donated by Mission Hill Family Estate
- Laugh with improv artists, Dangerous Portion. They are Vancouver's newest, hottest and wackiest comedy troupe, combining comedy, sketches and music in performances that leave audiences clamoring for more!
- Bid on fantastic silent auction items generously donated by some of the trendiest hotels, local artists, and high-end retailers throughout British Columbia. Check out our list of donors on the website.
- Enjoy a night of great tunes by DJ Ocean.
- Make-up touch ups provided at the Soiree to all guests by The BeautyInk Gallery.
