The Canadian Red Cross Red Carpet Soiree is an annual gala event offering guests red carpet arrival with “paparazzi”, award-winning canapés, fine wine and a silent auction featuring items donated by celebrities, high-end retailers and Red Cross corporate supporters.

This fabulous event raises funds for the Canadian Red Cross of the Lower Mainland Region and promotes awareness of the countless Canadian Red Cross programs benefitting local, national and international communities.

Following the success of 3 previous Canadian Red Cross Red Carpet Soirees, we are thrilled to be partnering once again with our Presenting Sponsor, Blue Water Cafe, to produce the 4th Annual Red Cross Red Carpet Soiree on May 12, 2011.

We offer a sincere thank you to the 300 guests who joined us last year. Your generous donations and gracious support helped raise over $15,000 for the Lower Mainland Region Disaster Management Program!

This year, we will roll out the red carpet for over 300 guests who will be treated to a full menu of award-winning canapés from one of Vancouver’s foremost chefs: Executive Chef Frank Pabst, celebrated for his innovative and brilliantly executed West Coast plates, and leadership in responsible seafood practices.

Highlights of the evening will include:

  • Red carpet arrival with “paparazzi” as guests arrive
  • Selection of award-winning canapés and fine wine
  • Impressive silent auction items, and much more!

why?

The Canadian Red Cross Red Carpet Soiree is held annually in early May to coincide with World Red Cross Day, which has been celebrated internationally every year since 1948. Programs provided by the department include:

  • Humanitarian Issues Promotion
  • Restoring Family Links
  • SmartStart: Multilingual Injury Prevention Training
